Honeybee colonies are characterized by the reproductive division of labour among female individuals. Maintaining by the combined effects of queen pheromone, larvae pheromone and work policing,reproduction is monopolized by a queen in a honeybee colony. However,the reproductive division of labour is special in honeybee colonies of Apis mellifera capensis, colonies parasitized by A. m. capensis workers, anarchistic colonies, queenless colonies and multiple queen colonies. The reproductive division of labour in these colonies is introduced in this paper.
