The translation and research on the Chinese ancient erotic novels is one of the most important parts of the Russian Sinology and literature research. The research in the Soviet Union era has the characteristics of emphasis on social historical perspective and textual criticism. Translation of Jin Ping Mei two volumes set published in 1977, which basically translated the scenes and characters＇ dialogues, was an excellent translation. But there was certain reduction and loss during the translation. The preface for the second edition of this translation written by LI Fuqing, Lanling Xiaoxiaosheng and his novel Jin Ping Mei, is an important paper in research of Chinese erotic literature in the Soviet Union era, which in deed involves the love content in this work with deep analysis and researching. After the dissolution, the academic collection called Chinese Erotics published by Moscow Kvadrat Publishing Association in 1993, constructed an illustrated ＂Chinese sexology＂ encyclopedia by fusing Chinese ancient erotic literature with research papers on sex philosophy and sex medicine, which helps the readers to establish the complete concept of the position of erotics and sex in ancient Chinese culture.
