采用CO2激光脉冲技术在边孔光纤(SHF)上 写入长周期光栅(LPG),并对其温度、外界折射 率和弯曲的传感特性进行测试。实验表明, 当温度从20℃升高到80℃时,SHF-LPG的谐振波长随温度升高线性蓝移6.51nm, 温度灵敏度为-0.11nm/℃。其对外界折射率的敏感 度随折射率升高而增加,越 接近光纤包层的有效折射率灵敏度越高,测量范围为1.34-1.44;其谐振波长随弯曲曲率的增加线性红 移,但弯曲传感灵敏度具有较强的方向相关性,最大达到9.36nm/m^-1。
Long-period gratings (LPGs) were fabricated in a side-hole fibe r (SHF) by using a pulsed CO2laser.Sensing characteristics of this SHF-LPG to temperature,su rrounding refractive index and bending have been investigated experimentally.Experimental results show that the resonant wavelength of the SHF-LPG has a blue shift of 6.51nm with temperature increasing in a range from 20℃ to 80℃ with sensitivity of -0.11nm/℃,a blue shift with increasing sensitivity and surrounding refractive index ranging from 1.34to 1.44(the m aximum sensitivity is achieved when the surrounding refractive index reaches the effect ive index of the fiber cladding),and a red shift with bending-direction-dependent sensitiv ity up to 9.36nm/m^-1.
