A mathematical model for a distributed attack on targeted resources in a computer network is established. The process of distributed attacks provides an epidemic framework with two sub-frameworks to consider the difference between the overall behavior of the attacking hosts and the targeted resources. Firstly, the basic regeneration number R0 of the system is obtained. Then, by using Routh-Hurwitz crite- rion and geometric criterion, the local stability of the disease-free equilibrium point and the local stability and global stability of the positive equilibrium point are studied. Finally, the results are verified by nu- merical simulation.
