Neuronal electrophysiological modeling is an essential part in neuroscience research.Based on the biophysical experimental data,the neuronal models are able to simulate the structure and function of the neuron,and can be used to investigate the electrophysiological characteristics and the information encoding of the neuron.This article reviews the modeling methods from a single neuron to neural network.Also the research progress of different methods and the popular simulation tools are introduced.
