Duchesnea Indica is Rosaceae species, first described in the Bie Lu, with heat- clearing and detoxicating, blood -cooling and blood - stopping, and stasis - dispersing？？ and swelling - eliminating effect, also widely used in the folk. The composition of Duchesnea lndica is complex. Its study more focuses on water extract and ethanol extract, relatively less study on its single component. Although the study of its pharmacological effect is relatively broad, the systematic study is deficient. Its clinical practice is more widely done, more com- patible with other herbs ,but rarely singly - used in clinical study. The paper reviews the pharmacological research and clinical application of Duchesnea Inidca in the past 30 years,hoping to provide the basis for its clinical application and product development.
