通过对湖北东部天堂寨自然保护区、九宫山自然保护区和大洪山自然保护区调查，结果表明，3个自然保护区共有蚂蚁414种，隶属于4亚科，26属，其中有25种为湖北省分布新记录。在区系组成上，东洋界种类25种，占全部种类的56．8％；东洋界和古北界均有分布的种类19种，占全部种类的43．2％，这表明3个自然保护区的蚂蚁以东洋区为主。

Tiantangzhai Nature Reserve, Jiugongshan Nature Reserve and Dahongshan Nature Reserve are located in eastern Hubei Province. So far the research on species diversity of ants in these nature reserves have not yet been reported. 44 species of ants belonging to 26 genera and 4 sub-families were collected from these nature reserves. Among them, 25 species were new records in Hubei Province. 25 species occur in Oriental Kingdom, making up 56.8% of total species;19 species occur both in Oriental and Palaeartic Kingdom, making up 43.2% of total species.The result shows Oriental species took greatest part in the ant fauna of these nature reserves.
