To explore the evolution path of latecomer automobile enterprises＇ RD cooperation model, two cooperating enterprises are taken as the research object. RD output model based on modified Lotka Volterra model is set up to analyze dependence RD model, coexistence RD model and symbiotic RD model. Furthermore, the paper gives examples coming from Chery and Toyota＇s RD and testifies the results. The results show that describing the evolution path of latecomer automobile enterprises＇ RD partnership using modified Lotka-Volterra model is reasonable, and the model explains the evolution path formation mechanism of the latecomer automobile enterprises＇ RD cooperation model. This research offers a kind of approach for aiding decision to select and upgrade latecomer automobile enterprises＇ RD cooperation model.
