英文摘要：
The Wonderful Wizard of Ozis a representative of the novels in vernacular Chinese in the Qing Danysty,and reflects the overall features of the language in the middle Qing Dynasty.The author of this paper selects four adverbs from it：Geng,Hen,Shifen,and Jing,compares them with their counterparts in modern Chinese,and analyze the development of these words and the causes of the development in modern Chinese from the perspective of the frequency of use,meaning,collocation,and syntactic functions.
