A method that can be used to design, manufacture and test the contraction section of a wind tunnel is presented. By properly choosing curves for the contraction section, a threedimensional construction of the contraction section is made. Contraction surfaces are developed in a graphic software, so curvilinear coordinates of the plane are obtained, which are used as are input for the plasma cutting machine and four pieces of material are prepared for the contraction processing. Finally, the flow field in the contraction section is simulated by numerical computation software.
