The rationality of the simplicity from six level （Mq-1 type） system to four-level tripod system is detailedly analyzed and proved by the theoretical calculations in the multi-level EIT system of 87 Rb D1 line. The calculations show that the obtained results with the six-level system are almost same as that with the four-level tripod system. It means that under our experimental condition, the six-level system can be approximately simplified into the four-level tripod system.
