The polyaniline coated gold nanoparticles with positive charges were synthesized by a simple chemical reduction and used for detection of early carcinoma. The gold nanoparticles with positive charges could be assembled along λ-DNA molecules via electrostatic interaction. The results of detection of carcinoemhryonic antigen (CEA) indicated that the synthesized DNA-gold nanoparticles networks could be a possible candidate of detecting early cancer.
