Taking Xuanwu Lake Park in Nanjing for example, the paper examines the experience quality and sexual differences of the park-based recreation based on the questionnaire survey data and the technology of Exploratory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling. The results show that the determinants of urban residents＇ recreational satisfaction are a six-dimension construction and its effect presents a decreasing trend in the order of sanitary facilities scale service facilities culture and activities landscape and environment facilities for activities. The standard factor loading reflects the mechanism of how these dimensions act on the experience quality. There are obvious sexual differences of the experience quality. Female visitors pay more attention to comfort and landscape, while male visitors focus more on activities and participatory quality. Therefore, in light of these findings, the paper makes several countermeasures and suggestions for the planning and management of urban park.
