本文采用二维流体模型模拟了非对称荫罩式PDP结构的放电过程和放电特性。非对称荫罩式PDP结构的放电过程表明,该结构可产生斜拉的长路径放电,有效地提高放电效率。在5.8×10^4Pa,Ne+10%Xe的工作条件下,非对称结构相较对称结构发光效率提高了32%左右。同时通过对非对称结构各种参数的模拟表明,在扫描电极的中心偏离荫罩下开孔中心150μm,扫描电极宽度在60μm左右,工作气体压强在5.9×10^4Pa~6.6×10^4Pa,Xe比例在15%~20%左右,可使放电效率提高约65%。
Discharge characteristics and operation parameters of non-symmetric shadow mask plasma display panel(SM-PDP) were simulated with two-dimensional fluid simulation model. The simulated results show that the non-symmetric shadow mask structure considerably improves the discharge characteristics. For example, in a gas mixture of Ne + 10% Xe with a pressure of 5.8 × 10^4 Pa, the long-distance discharge can be observed;the discharge efficiency increases by 32% as compared to that of the symmetric shadow mask PDP.The discharge efficiency can be optimized under the following conditions: the displacement between the scan electrode center and the shadow mask' s lower aperture center is 150 μa,the scan electrode width is 60 μa, the gas pressure is about 5.9× 10^4 Pa- 6.6× 10^4 Pa and a xenon ratio is 15% -20%.
