For the accelerator meter or gap sensor failures of maglev vehicle, the optimized fault tolerance control system is designed based on state observer. The model of single-magnet system is built first and system steps are reduced via introduction of current ring. Then designed is the on-line state observer based on rated closed-loop system. In case of one single sensor fault, according to the failure positioning information from the fault diagnosis system, the state estimate information from the state observer will be applied in real time and then fault tolerance would be realized for single sensor fault. The simulation indicates the effectiveness of the method.
