Mencius and Paul are of the same importance from the perspective of communication of Confucianism and Christianity. Both of them have universal feelings which go beyond race and nation,physically conducting themselves in defending the truth so as to save people from troubles. However,due to their different cultural backgrounds,they vary in perspectives and expressions for life and death,as well as in thinking patterns and focuses. To make a detailed analysis on the similarities and differences of their care for life and death is of great significance to the further study about communication between pre-Qin Confucianism and early Christianism.
