Objective：For studying the dynamic changing characteristic of pituitary - thyroid gland axis funct/on as kidney - yang deficiency. Methods ： The rat model of kidney - yang deficiency was duplicated by intramuscular injection of cortisone. Indexs of pituitary - thyroid gland axis function on the rat of kidney - yang deficiency were observed at early, middle and lately period, respectively, by slaughtering in turn. And the rule and characteristic of changes on rat model were analysed. Results ： The reducing of pituitary - thyroid gland axis function on the rat of kidney - yang deficiency was different according to time. Conclusion： More ideal of duplicating time to kidney - yang deficiency is 15 days to 30 days.
