Based on an evolvable platform, evolvable hardware can realize self-reconfiguration through evolutionary algorithms to enable the system to be adaptive, self-organizing, self-repairing. The paper introduces a new evolvable platform, i. e. evolvable motherboard. The operational principle of evolvable hardware based on the evolvable platform is discussed,as well as i＋s structure and features.
