A mathematical model was discussed for multi-component solutes transport in porous medium dominated by sulfate. Since the model parameters could not be measured directly, an inverse problem of determining model parameters was put forward, and numerical inversions for a real life example of multi-component solutes transport under different conditions were carried out by applying an optimal perturbation iteration algorithm. The computational inversion results show that the optimal perturbation iterative algorithm used in this paper is effective at least to the inverse problem of multi-parameter identification arising in a group of partial differential equations.
