If an atom is placed in the magnetic field, the symmetry of the atom must change. On the basis of the atomic boundary model that Yang et al. have put forwarda characteristic boundary contour model for an atom in a magnetic field has been established. Using MELD ab initio program and programs designed by ourselves,the boundary contours of four alkali metal atoms in the 10 or 30 T magnetic field were gotten.
