The interaction between the plasma and electromagnetic wave is a focus of the study of high-power microwave devices, loading plasma can significantly increase the output power and efficiency of microwave devices. This paper shows a kind of new periodic slow-wave structure in which plasma with periodic density is loaded into cylindrical waveguide, this is a periodic medium slow-wave structure. Also, the study of the propagation characteristics of electromagnetic wave in the structure is done, according to strict theory deduction, the dispersion equations are derived, and the numerical calculation and analysis are completed.
