Based on the survey of the earthquake emergency response in southwest China,it is summarized that the emergency response for the destructive earthquake in south-west China has the characteristics of fragile infrastructure,weak self-help,more secondary disasters and heavy difficult of disposal.The suggestions and strategy are proposed to strengthen the earthquake emergency preparedness and emergency response.
