巴利尔斯铁矿是阿尔泰南缘麦兹盆地新近发现的中型铁矿床。赋存于上志留一下泥盆统康布铁堡组下亚组第二岩性段,矿体及附近发育大量矽卡岩矿物。该矿床岩相学特征表明,其成矿期次主要划分为:矽卡岩阶段、退化蚀变阶段及石英硫化物阶段。矽卡岩矿物电子探针分析结果表明:石榴石端缘组分为And60.41%~89.84%Gro3.01%~36.60%Alm0.47%~11.56%,属于钙铁一钙铝系列;辉石的端元组分为Di50.38%~75.43%Hd22.99%-47.02%Jo1.38-3.35%,属于透辉石一钙铁辉石系列;角闪石富Na,Ca,Fe,Mg,低Mn,Ti,属于铁镁钙角闪石与铁角闪石,该套矽卡岩为钙矽卡岩,成因可能为岩浆期后热液交代火山岩地层形成。磁铁矿的岩相学特征结合矽卡岩矿物电子探针结果,表明磁铁矿在矽卡岩化的退化蚀变阶段析出,磁铁矿的主量及微量元素特征也显示磁铁矿与典型矽卡岩型磁铁矿具有相似性,矿床成因为矽卡岩型。
Baliersi iron deposit is located in Maizi Basin of the south margin of Altay orogenic belt. ()re bodies are hosted in the metamorphosed volcaniclastic-sedimentary rocks of the Kang- butiebao Formation of Lower Devonian and concordant with the bedding of the strata with the wall rocks of amphibolite,granulite and leptite. Abundant skarn minerals of garnet, chinopyrox- ene, amphibole, epidote, chlorites occur around the ore bodies. Field evidence and petrographic ob- servation reveal three stages of metallogenesis,prograde stage,retrograde stage and sulfide stage. Electron microprobe analysis shows that the end number of garnet is And60.41-89.84 Gro3.01-36.60 Alm0.47-11.56 ,and the composition of clinopyroxene is Di50. 38-75.43 Hd22. 99-47. 02 Jo1.38-3.35. Amphi- boles show insignificant compositional variation, mostly ferrotschermakite. The composition of these skarn minerals suggest that skarn in the Baliersi iron deposit is calcic type, belonging to metasomatic skarn. Electron microprobe analysis also shows that the composition of magnetite is mainly FeT with high total value of Mg and Mn, similar to magnetite related to the skarns. The characteristic of trace elements of magnetite is also similar to magnetite related to the skarns. In combination with the geological characteristics,it is considered that the skarns might have resul- ted from hydrothermal interaction with metamorphic volcanic rocks,and the formation of magne- tite was related to the skarns.
