该文阐述了利用参量放大器在闲频波波长上获得短脉冲的基本原理。运用调制不稳定性理论,分析了泵浦波的相位调制引起的瞬时频移对闲频波脉冲的影响。仿真结果表明,当信号波波长处于参量增益谱的边缘处时,脉冲功率在相位的上升沿减小、下降沿增大;如果泵浦波相位仅在脉冲之间的间隙内变化,可以获得峰值功率比较平整的脉冲序列。
In this paper, the theory of short pulse generation based on fiber optical amplifier(FOPA) is presented. According to the modulation instability theory, one analyzes the influences that instantaneous frequency chirp induced by phase modulation has on generated idler pulses. Simulation results show that pulse power de- creases for a rising edge and increases for a failing edge when the signal wavelength is at the edge of gain spectral. A uniform pulses train can be generated if the pump phase jumps occur only during the gap between adjacent pulses.
