Urban complex has become the important feature of the new stage of urban development. Kernel density estimation is used to study the characteristics of complex spatial distribution of Wuhu city. It is found that Wuhu city complex synthesis centralized degree is high, centralizing in the city center; Different types of complex are of different agglomeration and discrete spatial distribution; Complex suburbanization develops rapidly. Downtown city complex rapid development will accelerate industrial structure upgrade and promote from a city of single center to a polycentric city, but the high density of spatial distribution of urban complex will go against downtown function space such as reasonable diffusion.
