With the rapid development of network technologies, big data has profound impact on every area of society. In this paper, based on the basic concepts and main characteristics of the big data, the impact of the big data on the teaching are introduced, and thus we proposes that how to use the big data efficiently and reasonably for the teachers and students in the the university to improve teaching quality. Furthermore, the difficulties of the application of the big data are expounds, and the corresponding countermeasures are put forward.
