甜高粱饲料在南疆粗饲料资源开发中的前景分析

粗饲料严重不足是南疆大力发展草食家畜生产的关键问题.受塔克拉玛干沙漠的影响,南疆环塔里木盆地边缘的绝大部分天然牧场属干旱半干旱草地类型.植被以沙生植物为主,牧草植物产草量低、品质差.同时,近年来,受过度垦荒、水源缺乏、土壤盐碱化和牧场退化的影响,天然草场载畜量急剧下降.常规饲料作物抗逆性弱、经济效益低,在南疆的种植面积有限.甜高粱作为一种新型的饲料作物,具有含糖量和生物产量高、抗逆性好、分蘖和再生能力强的优良特性.分析了南疆现有粗饲料资源、甜高粱的生物学特性,以及南疆种植甜高粱饲料的种植情况,我们认为甜高粱饲料在南疆具有良好的开发潜力.科学合理地开发甜高粱饲料,可有效缓解南疆粗饲料资源不足的问题,对进一步发展南疆畜牧业经济提供了物质保证.

英文摘要:

The key problem for increasing production of herbivorous animals in Southern Xinjiang is theserious shortage of forage. Due to the existence of Takalamakan Desert, most of the natural grasslandsaround the edge of Tarim Basin in South of Xinjiang are arid and semi-arid. Plant and forage speciesgrow in the basin are generally low yield and poor quality as animal feed. The capacity for providing feedto ruminants from natural pastures has decreased sharply in recent years, because of excessive cultivation,water shortage, soil salinization and grassland degradation. Panting area of conventional feed crops in South?ern Xinjiang is restricted because of their weak stress resistance and low economic benefits. Sweet sor?ghum is a new-type forage crop with good characteristics of high sugar content and biomass, strong regen?eration and tillering. After analysis of the current forage resources, sweet sorghum biological characteris?tics, and the natural resources for planting sweet sorghum in Southern Xinjiang, We believe that sweet sor?ghum forage will have great potential for exploitation. The exploiting of sweet sorghum forage rationallycould alleviate the shortage of forage resources and provide material assurance for regional economic devel?opment of animal husbandry in Southern Xinjiang.
