Ubiquitin-proteasome pathway is a major regulatory pathway of protein degradation and plays an important role in many cellular physiological and biochemical processes, such as DNA repair, cell cycle operation, cell signaling transduction, antigen presentation, etc.. Recently, studies on ubiquitin-proteasome pathway in leukemia have been widely carried out. In this paper, we summarized the compositions and processes of the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, its influence on normal hematopoiesis, its contribution to leukemia and its application in the cure of leukemia. All of these will provide new methods or strategies for leukemia diagnosis and therapy.
