基于iSCSI存储系统的实现通常采用带内方式,在此方式中数据流和命令流必须通过管理端向用户端和存储端转发,使系统的性能受到管理端的影响较大.为解决这一问题,采用一种带外方式,管理端只向用户端和存储端转发命令流,而数据流只在用户端和存储端之间交互,使得数据传输率比带内系统要快.实验证明了带外方式的性能要优于带内方式.
iSCSI-based storage system includes three sides: host, manager, and store. Manager manages some stores and generates a unified, logical store pool to provide store services to host. According the method of forwarding at the manager side, iSCSI-based store virtualization was implemented in two ways: in band and out-of-band. Manager must transmits data stream and command stream to host and store in in-band way. By comparision, manager only transmits command stream to host and store in out-of-band way. Therefore, the out-of-band data transmission rate is higher than in-band system. After the two ways were implemented, the performance test results indicate that the performance of out-of-band was better than that of in-band.
