用十六酸对纳米TiO2进行表面改性,采用FT-IR、XRD、接触角及流变学等测试方法对纳米TiO2的界面性质进行了表征。分析结果表明,改性后十六酸在纳米TiO2表面形成化学吸附,改性纳米TiO2表现出较好的亲油疏水性,在有机相中能够良好分散;将改性前后的纳米TiO2分别加入到纸张涂料体系中,制得纳米TiO2复合纸张涂料,涂料流变实验表明,含改性纳米TiO2的复合纸张涂料具有较高的动态弹性模量和黏性模量。
The surface modification of nano TiO2 with hexadecanic acid was carried out. The surface properties of the modified nano TiO2 samples were investigated by FT-IR, XRD, contact angle and rheological behavior measurment. According to the spectra of FT-IR, it was inferred that chemical adsorption between the hexadecanic acid and the nano TiO2 was established during the modification reaction. The results of XRD showed that the modified nano TiO2 samples kept the same bulk structure as unmodified TiO2. The wetting and dispersion tests implied that the wettability and dispersion of the modified nano TiO2 were improved greatly in organic phase. Rheological behavior of the coatings indicated that the dynamic elastic modulus and viscosity modulus of the coatings containing modified nano TiO2 were higher than those of the coatings containing unmodified nano TiO2 which also demonstrated that surface modification was critical for the successful application ofnano TiO2 in the paper coatings.
