In this paper, we construct bivariate three band interpolating scaling function. The constructed functions have excellent properties such as continuity, symmetry, interpolation. Furthermore, we study the sufficient and necessary con- ditions of bivariate three band compactly supported scaling function being interpolating and bivariate three band compactly supported real scaling function being symmetric and interpolating. These results can be easily applied to N-dimensional three band scaling function. Finally, we give an examole.
