Conventional fossil fuels have been unable to meet the rapid development of world economy nowadays.The new energy of biomass has been more and more in favor of by many countries. This paper mainly introduces the biomass and bio- energy,and analyses present application situation of domestic and abroad. Through the analysis of the status of China＇s bio- energy applications,this paper also points out the problems in its development and utilization,and tries to explain how it can bring economic,social and environmental benefits.
