Integrated information theory of Giulio Tononi provided a quantitative, empirically accessible hypothesis to explain consciousness. It pre-sumed consciousness is integrated information which resulted from interaction among parts of system. Consciousness is a fundamental quantity and graded. These opinions defused philosophical zombie argument and defended a new version of panpsychism which inferred consciousness is not nec-essarily combined with self.
