Abstract： The Xiyi Pb - Zn deposit is in the central north part of Baoshan Massif. And the ore - bearing bed is the Lower Carboniferous Xiangshan Formation limestone. In this paper, we have a systematical sum - up of the results of field geological investigation and exploration, discover that this ore deposit is at the margin of a fault depression ba- sin, controlled by the cogenetic fault, with obvious stratabound, rock- bound and time- bound characteris- tics. The zonation of metallogenetic element is evident. In the meantime, the barite bed and flint are developed, ere, which show the metallogenetic feature and rule of typical Sedex - type ore deposit. In this paper, we have a sum -up of the metallogenesis model of Xiyi Pb- Zn deposit and its prospecting siginificance in Xiyi orefield.
