Based on a survey of 61 R&D teams, the paper explored the effect relationships among team leader's social network ties, team knowledge sharing, team creativity. The empirical results showed: team leader's internal social network ties and external social network ties had a positive impact on novelty and utility; these relationships were fully mediated by team knowledge sharing; team leader's external social network ties moderated the relationships between team leader's internal social network ties and novelty and utility.
