目的重新认识晚清《农学报》传播农业基础科学的重大意义,论证中西两大农学知识体系碰撞融合过程中,西方自然科学对中国传统农学知识体系的革命性改造。方法采用传播统计和原始期刊文献分析考证。结果《农学报》传入的西方农业基础科学,主要包括农业经济学、农业物理学、农业化学、农业气象学、农业生物学、土壤学、肥料学等,其中农业化学、农业气象学、农业经济学是其他期刊所没有的新知识。结论《农学报》经由日本系统引进现代自然科学武装起来的西方现代农学知识体系,注入中国传统农学体系全新的知识元素,从而形成了古代与近代中国农学的分水岭。这不仅在媒介形态的特殊样式上,而且在农学知识的传播总量和体系的完整性上,实现了空前的历史性跨越。
英文摘要：
Aim To re-understand the great significance of Late Qing Dynasty′s Agricultural Journal in regard to spreading agricultural basic science,and demonstrated western science offering revolutionary transformation to Chinese traditional agronomy system in the process of integration and collision between Chinese and Western agronomy.Methods Through communication statistics and original journals′literature analysis textual research.Results Agricultural Journal introduced such agricultural basic science as agricultural economics,agricultural physics,agricultural chemistry,agrometeorology,agricultural biology,pedology,and fertilizer science,etc.In addition,agricultural economics,agrometeorology and agricultural chemistry is new knowledge which never appeared in the other journals.Conclusion Agricultural Journal systematically introduced Western modern aronomy system applied by modern science through Japan,injected new knowlege elements into Chinese traditional agricultural system,accordingly formed the watershed of Chinese ancient and modern agronomy.Not only in particular style of media form,but also in total content disseminated and integrity of system of agricultural knowledge,did the Agricultural Journal achieve unprecedented historic leap.
