In this article the characteristics of renal liver-fire and the reasons led to the adverse drug reactions toxicity adverse reactions were proposed so as to provide gentian for purging liver-fire. toxicity caused by bolus of gentian for purging were analyzed, and the measures to reduce renal reference for the rational clinical use of bolus ofgentian for purging liver-fire.
