The paper indicates the diffusion process of the lean technique from the manufacturing industry to the architecture, illustrates the re- search orientation of the lean construction theory from the lean construction implementation, BIM coordinate application, application of program administration, and sustainable development, and sums up the research tendency from six aspects according to the insufficient theoretic develop- ment and research orientation, so as to provide some reference for the research on the lean management of construction enterprises and lean con- struction in China.
