The northern part of Zhejiang Province is located in the north section of Jiang-Shao fault zone which between the Yangtze and Cathaysian plates. There are some Neoproterozoic granitoid plutons such as Shijiao, Pingshui,Taohong and Xiqiu, whose dating are between 814 Ma ~932 Ma. In this paper, dating age of 960. 1 Ma± 6.5 Ma for muscovite granite is obtained, im- plying that they were the products for early Neoproterozoic magmatic activity. For all samples, SiO2 content varies between 72.89% and 74.82% ,CaO content between 0~ 24% and 1.44%~'~high total alkali content (7.46%~8. 50%),and KzO content is generally higher than that of NazO (w (Na20) is 2.08%~4.41% and w(K2O) is between 3.22% and 6.00%). The A/CNK values vary between 0.98 and 1.34, suggesting that the granites are metaluminous to peraluminous series. Chondrite-normalized REE patterns are characterized by LREE enrichment (LREE/HREE = 12.02~16.10) and REE fractionation significantly (La/Yb)N=11.02~24.16) with negative Eu. anomalies (0.21 ~0.85). In the primitive-normalized spidergrams, rocks are enriched in LILEs (e g K, Rb,Ba) and show HFSEs (e g Nb,Ta,Ti) depletion. It is considered that the early Neoproterozoic granitoids may be originated from peraluminous magma, and the petrographic characteristics of white mica vug enrichment in local area suggest that the granitoids are similar to the peraluminous granites(CPG),the material source may be originated from the partial melting of argillaceous sedimentary rocks. Based on the tectonic development of the region, and its tectonic,petro- logical and geochemical characteristics, the Neoproterozoic granitoids in northern Zhejiang Province have been generated in syn-collisional and post-collisional setting which closely related to the thrust-shearing anatexis caused by crustal thickening.
