The principle and features of common hanging push-rod chain and double-rocker chain driving modes which are used to convey the workpieees in the auto coating machine line have been introduced in the text. The synchronization issue on the coating machine line has been discussed. The new multi-functional transfer units such as Rod-dip and Vario Shuttle which are used widely in the auto coating line have been analyzed in detail.
