Objective To investigate the role of psoriasin on IL-8 secretion from normal and psoriatic peripheral blood T cells. Methods ELISA was used to define the level of IL-8 produced by T lymphocytes from normal and psoriatic peripheral blood. Results IL-8 was not detected from normal blood without stimulated by psoriasin. However, after stimulated by psoriasin for 2h,4h,8h and 12h, IL-8 was overproduced and reached maximum at 8h to 492 pg/mL,and this production was in a dose and time-dependent manner, IL-8 from psoriatic blood could be detected a little without stimulated by psoriasin. After stimulating by psoriasin for 2h,4h, 8h and 12h,IL-8 was also over-expressed in psoriatic blood, while reaching simmilar value after 4h, and also reaching a maximum after 8h to 1 007.5 pg/mL. Conclusion It is faster and more in psoriatic patient than that in normal people for psoriasin to stimulate peripheral blood to produce IL-8.
