Based on the investigation of Bittacus planus Cheng reared in laboratory, the hunting, feeding, mating and ovipositing behaviors were observed and described in detail. The hunting process of the hangingfly can be divided into four steps; preparing, hunting, feeding, and cleaning. The nuptial gift behavior was observed and the females consnme the offering of the males during copulation. The cannibalism existed in the hangiflgfly.
