Necessity and urgency of pineapple leaf fiber degumming technology research were expounded in the paper.Firstly,the advantages and disadvantages of the present methods of pineapple leaf fiber degumming——chemical degumming,biological degumming,and biochemical joint degumming——were analysed.Secondly,the relationship between the characteristics of pineapple leaf fiber and degumming were expounded in view of the structure characteristics and chemical properties of pineapple leaf fiber.＂low consumption,high efficiency,high quality,less pollution＂ pineapple leaf fiber degumming technology were pointed out.Finally,a new method of pineapple leaf fiber degumming was put forward.
