英文摘要：

International trade is one of the main channels of technology transfer and spillover. As a country whose trade scale has leaped to the first place in the world but its innovation ability needs to be improved urgently, China should pay particular attention to it. The pharmaceutical industry is closely linked with intellectual property rights, but there exist lots of disputes on the implementation of the industry＇s intellectual property system between the North and South countries. Taking the technology spillover of trade as the starting point, through the ridge regression analysis, this paper explores the impact of the intellectual property system on the technological progress of China＇s pharmaceutical industry. The results show that the construction and improvement of the system of intellectual property rights is conducive to the achievement of technological progress of China＇s pharmaceutical industry. In the future, China should carry out appropriate protection to enhance the innovation ability of local enterprises, so as to promote economic growth.
