Lanthanide amide [(Me3Si)2N]3Y(μ-Cl)Li(THF)3 was found to be a good catalyst for the Mannich reaction of N-Tosylaldimines with cyclohexanone under solvent-free condition.Compared with the traditional reactions,the reactant of cyclohexanone can be directly put into the reaction without through the silyl enol ether.The methodology has the advantages of economical catalyst,broad generality,mild and green reaction condition.
