In order to get better understanding of SCTP protocol performance, the NS-2 network simulation software is utilized to compare TCP and SCTP protocols from a single path and multi path. The experimental results show that, in response to the link＇s deteriorating condition, the SCTP protocol has a larger throughput capacity , and also a higher stability, and it can meet the transmission requirement of high performance network.
