Based on the principle of high-temperature sintering resulted in the pulverization of quartz, at pre-given process parameters such heating-up rate, the temperature of heat preservation, soaking time and heating-down rate, natural quartz samples with high purity were sintered at high-temperature, and then milled in planetary ball mills, the nano-sized quartz powders with average particle size of 43nm were obtained.
