2~5μm波段中红外激光在遥感、测距、环境检测、生物工程和医疗等领域有着广阔的发展前景和重要的应用价值,己成为光电子技术领域中最尖端的课题之一。利用固体激光器泵浦稀土离子掺杂的硫系玻璃光纤产生荧光发射是直接获得2~5μm波段中红外激光的有效途径。综合评述了近年来国外在中红外发光稀土离子掺杂硫系玻璃方面的研究进展,讨论了影响硫系玻璃中红外发光的各种因素,展望了未来该领域的研究方向和发展前景。
The mid-infrared laser in the range of 2–5 μm has been developed to apply to the fields of remote sensing, ranging, environmental monitoring, biological engineering and medical treatment, etc.. Luminescence emission from the rare-earth ions in chalcogenide glass fiber which was pumped by solid-state laser is an effective and direct way to obtain the mid-infrared laser in the region of 2–5 μm. This review represents the recent development on the studies of rare-earth doped chalcogenide glass for mid-infrared luminescence abroad and analyzed the factors influencing the mid-infrared luminescence in chalcogenide glass. Further studies on this aspect were mentioned and prospected.
