以黄遵宪《日本杂事诗》为研究个案,探讨了早期域外纪游作品中"新名词"不新这一文学现象。分析了"新名词"背后隐藏着旧意境的原因之所在。认为早期域外纪游作品中的新词语,一方面见证着先行者的勇气和他们在"中学为体"与"西学为用"之间不断寻找平衡点的努力,另一方面又显露出由于无法摆脱强大文化惯习的牵绊而存在的思想局限。通过对黄遵宪《日本杂事诗》中"新名词"不新这一个案的研究,不但可以看到中国走向世界的现代化进程何其艰难,同时,也可以看出域外行旅对作者思想、创作以及文学变革所产生的潜移默化的影响。
By taking Huang Zunxian’ s Poems Written in Japan as a specific example, the author studies the seemingly fresh but somehow old-fashioned‘new terms’ in the early overseas tourist writings and finds out the possible reasons for the existence of ‘old artistic conception’ hidden behind the‘new terms’ , and thereby holds that the‘new terms’ applied in the early tourist writings, on the one hand, eyes the pioneering writers’ courage and struggle to balance‘tak-ing Chinese learning for orthodoxy’ and ‘taking western learning for application’ , on the other hand, reveals the limits of their thoughts resulting from their cultural gene inherited from the powerful and influential mother culture. The analysis shows us both the great difficulties China’ s modernization went through and the influence of travelling abroad had on the writers’ thought, writing and literary reform.
