YJ17 Feeding Strip Machine is the very important front feeding device for the YJ17 Cigarette Machine which is the mainstream model for domestic cigarette production. The paper illustrated the main design of the electrical system and Germany Siemens PLC S7-400＇s core control function, and described the PLC control program of using the internal metering trough＇s material-level control program and pipe tobacco feeding control to drive external electrical equipment and implement the steep-angle ribbon control and metering trough control. Practical operation proved that the system has good stability, high control precision, low materials consumption and so on.
